About Dynamic Relational Therapy:

Dynamic-Relational Therapy (DRT) is an evidence-based, psychodynamic approach that focuses on how perfectionism and relational patterns develop, how they are maintained through interpersonal cycles, and how therapeutic relationships can be used to promote meaningful change. In this two-level training series, participants will first learn the foundations of DRT, including the Comprehensive Model of Perfectionism, the Social Disconnection Model, Cyclical Relational Patterns, and the use of the Triangle of Object Relations and Triangle of Adaptation to understand clients’ interpersonal dynamics. The advanced level then focuses on applying DRT in individual and group therapy, refining case conceptualizations, strengthening  therapeutic relationships, working with transference and countertransference, repairing alliance ruptures, and monitoring treatment progress to guide effective intervention.
